Faculty of Science hosts successful industry and research partners event
The Partners in Progress Meet and Greet hosted by Dean Stefi Baum, Wednesday Jan. 24, 2018, at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights was action-packed and insightful. Over 80 attendees – an equal mix of industry, research, and government – representing sectors of Agriculture, Life Sciences, ICT, Aerospace, Advanced Manufacturing, and more convened to discuss the latest in research, innovation and opportunities for future collaboration taking place at the Faculty of Science. Event attendees came away with insights, connections and inspiration.
“The research, innovation, and advances in technology that happen in University are important to the community. As researchers, we want to give back and ensure our research is relevant and generating meaningful impact in Manitoba and beyond. Our industrial and governmental partners – many of them alumni – want to collaborate and reconnect with the University and access our graduates. In the Faculty of Science, we want to nurture this ecosystem.” Dr. Ivan Oresnik, Associate Dean of Research and Graduate Studies, Faculty of Science.
