Faculty accepting nominations for Helen Mann 50th Anniversary Award

The Faculty of Social Work is now accepting nominations for the Helen Mann 50th Anniversary Award. The award honours an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the field of social work in Manitoba.

Fifty years after the founding of the School of Social Work, the Helen Mann 50th Anniversary Award was established to honour Helen Mann. The award acknowledges Mann as a founder of the School, director, and distinguished faculty member for 31 years. Mann made a significant impact on social work practice, shaping the standards within Winnipeg and across Canada. The award recognizes social workers and social activists for their impact within the community.

The award will be presented during Homecoming 2015 taking place on October 1, 2015 at the Centre culturel franco-manitobain.

Nominate a social worker or social activist who deserves to be recognized.
