May 13, 2015 —

An Excerpt from TeachingLIFE magazine, Spring 2015:

Professor and former school teacher Frank Deer is the recently appointed director of Indigenous initiatives in the Faculty of Education.

In this role, he’ll develop a program for future Indigenous teachers, find new ways to support Indigenous graduate students and work with faculty to integrate Indigenous perspectives across the curriculum.

In the Spring Issue of TeachingLIFE magazine, he provides his take on how far we’ve come and how much further we need to go.
