Check out new Online Orientation videos as part of New Student Orientation 2018
To help welcome new students to U of M campus, and prepare them for the next step in their academic career, a series of videos has been created to assist first year students as part of New Student Orientation 2018. The Online Orientation videos are located here and include welcome messages, information about transitioning to university studies, ways to engage with opportunities outside of the classroom, academic integrity, sexual violence and consent, and responsible substance use.
The Online Orientation videos introduce new students to the information they need to be successful in their studies and become a responsible member of the University of Manitoba community. Students are still encouraged to attend New Student Orientation on September 4; these videos are not a replacement for New Student Orientation. Together, Online Orientation and New Student Orientation introduce new students to the opportunities, services and supports that will facilitate their transition to university. Students are encouraged to watch all videos before they attend the in person New Student Orientation event.
Remember: New Student Orientation is open to all new students starting at the U of M and takes place at the Fort Garry campus on September 4. Stay for a full day of activities and information.
Be sure to join the New Student Orientation 2018 conversation on our student social media channels: @umstudent, @um_student and facebook.com/UM.Student, and by tagging #umorientation and #umanitoba2022.
