Chancellor transition, a once in a decade celebration
All are encouraged to attend any of the events
Dr. Harvey Secter is concluding his third and final term as Chancellor at Spring Convocation 2019 and a series of community celebrations have been planned to thank him for his service to the University of Manitoba, and to welcome Chancellor-elect Anne Mahon.
The U of M community is encouraged to join any of the upcoming events to mark this momentous occasion.

Friday, May 31 – Sunrise Pipe Ceremony to honour Chancellor Harvey Secter and welcome Chancellor-elect Anne Mahon
National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation – 177 Dysart Road
5:00 a.m. – Arrival
5:24 a.m. – Ceremony led by Grandfather-in-residence Wanbdi Wakita
Monday, June 3 – Installation of Anne Mahon as the 14th Chancellor of the University of Manitoba
Manitoba Room, UMSU University Centre
10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Formal installation ceremony
11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Community lunch
