Call for support staff participation
Digital Strategy Steering Committee and Sub-Committees

UM is embarking on a Digital Strategy project to create and transform digital capabilities that support the mission of UM and deliver excellence in the experiences that matter most to students, faculty, staff, and the UM community. In addition, we want to identify themes, issues, objectives, and ensure space for discussion and decision about how to achieve goals around digital capability.
To support the Digital Strategy, a Steering Committee is being created with a series of subcommittees. We want to ensure good representation from across our UM community and therefore we are reaching out to ask for your consideration to participate on the Steering Committee or one of five specific focus area subcommittees:
- Learning and Teaching and Student Support;
- Research and Innovation;
- Digital Content and Communications;
- Human Resources, Finance and Daily Work;
- Infrastructure and Data.
Once the committees are established, we expect they will have monthly meetings.
If you are a support staff member interested in participating, please contact Dr. Mark G. Torchia, Vice-Provost, Teaching and Learning (Chair of the Steering Committee) at mark [dot] torchia [at] umanitoba [dot] ca. (Note: A specific call for participation was sent to all instructors on July 25.) We will select support staff and faculty membership on committees to provide as broad representation as possible from the pool of interested individuals.
