The Bison men’s golf team will defend their national championship this weekend in Guelph at the 13th Canadian University/College Championship.
Returning Bison players include Charlie Boyechko, Brodie Gobin and Scott Mazur.
The competition is made up of 20 male teams and 12 women’s teams from across Canada.
Last year, the Bisons won the championship at Southwood Golf and Country Club.
Big Blue ink Bison
The Winnipeg Blue Bombers signed former University of Manitoba quarterback Jordan Yantz.
The 2013 season saw Yantz finish first in the CIS with 25 touchdown passes, while tossing for 2,474 yards, good for fourth in the CIS.
Yantz participated in training camp with the Blue Bombers in 2014, before returning to the Bisons.
