Hockey and volleyball at home this weekend
The Bison men’s hockey team hosts the Alberta Golden Bears this weekend to start the second half of the season.
This is a big series for the herd as Manitoba battles for a high playoff spot. They’re currently ranked fifth in the Canada West standings entering the weekend with a 7-7-2 record.
Friday’s game is at 7pm. Saturday’s game starts at 4pm. Both games are at the Wayne Fleming Arena.
The Bison volleyball teams continue their 2015-16 conference regular season hosting the UBC Okanagan Heat on January 8-9.
The #3 Bison men’s team (10-2) is in second place and four points back of #2 Alberta.
The Bison women look for their second home win of this season and are only six points out of a playoff spot.
The men’s match is at 6pm Friday night and the women’s is at 7:30pm. On Saturday, matches start at 3pm for the men and at 4:30pm for the women.
