Awareness & Perception Research – Official Contest Rules
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY
1. Contest Period
The Awareness and Perception Survey Contest (the “Contest”) starts on March 20, 2018, and closes on April 6, 2018 (the “Contest Period”).
2. General Eligibility
The Contest is open to anyone who is 18 years or older at the time of entry, and is a full time student in either an undergraduate or graduate program at the University of Manitoba, and who has submitted an on-line survey requesting entry into the Contest.
Excluded from eligibility are any employees of the External Relations within the University of Manitoba. Such persons are encouraged to complete the Survey, but are not eligible to enter the Contest.
3. Prizes
Prizes include:
a) One (1) prize for a $500 gift certificate from the University of Manitoba Bookstore.
b) Five (5) prizes of $100 gift certificates from the University of Manitoba Bookstore.
c) Ten (10) prizes of $50 gift certificates from the University of Manitoba Bookstore.
A Prize must be accepted as awarded and no prize substitutions or prize transfers will be allowed.
4. How to Enter
To enter the Contest, a must complete:
a) the Survey; and
b) the official online Contest entry form by entering your full name, and your current e-mail address.
You can submit a survey without providing any personal information, but without a name and contact information you will not be eligible for the Prize.
Limit of one (1) Contest entry per person.
5. Contest Draw
A tentative prize winner (the “Prize Winner”) will be determined by random drawing by Academica Group who is conducting the Survey on behalf of the University of Manitoba, on April 9, 2018.
The odds of winning are dependent upon the number of eligible entries received.
6. Conditions of Participation in Contest
By participating in this contest, the entrant agrees:
a) to be bound by these Official Contest Rules and the decisions of the University of Manitoba, whose decisions are final;
b) to the use of the entrant, likeness, voice, image, recording, video footage and statements in connection with this contest and the promotion and exploitation thereof;
c) that if selected as the winner, you give the University and its agents the right to publish or broadcast your name, likeness, voice, image, recording, video footage or statements for editorial, promotional, advertising and publicity purposes, without compensation other than the value of the prize offered;
d) to release and indemnify and hold harmless the University, its advertising and promotional agencies, the prize suppliers, and all their respective officers, directors, employees, owners, agents, contractors, representatives, successors and assigns from any liability in connection with or arising out of this contest, the awarding of the prize, the use of any personal information or the use of merchandise purchased in relation to winning a prize.
7. Awarding of Prize
The Prize Winner will be notified by email and will have five days to respond and arrange prize pick up. If the Marketing Communications Office is not contacted by the Prize Winner within this time period another Prize Winner may be selected until the Prize has been awarded and claimed.
To claim the Prize, the Prize Winner must:
a) provide proof of identification;
b) answer (without assistance) a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question; and
c) sign a declaration, waiver and release, affirming he or she has read, understood and agreed to be bound by these Official Contest Rules.
8. Privacy
The entrant’s personal information is protected in accordance with the University of Manitoba’s privacy policy.
No private information will be transferred on to any third parties and the results of the survey shall remain anonymous unless you have consented otherwise.
9. General
No entries will be returned.
This contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws including the University of Manitoba internal policies.
The University reserves the right to terminate this contest at its discretion. The University also reserves the right to terminate an entrant’s eligibility to participate if the entry does not meet the entrance requirements or the entrant is found to be abusing the Contest rules in any way, including electronic entry tampering.
The University of Manitoba assumes no responsibility for lost, late, incomplete, or misdirected entries or for any transmission, data, storage, or computer failure or failure of any kind resulting in the entry form being lost, destroyed, damaged or delivered after the close of the contest.
