April parking fees waived

April 1, 2020 —

Parking Services has notified all staff and student parking permit holders that April parking fees will be waived or refunded. Please note that NO action is required to receive your refund.

Staff permit holders will retain their space in the lot they currently occupy. For staff permit holders, no parking charge will appear for April; permit holders will be notified of any future updates.

For student permits paid by credit card, a refund on the April portion will be returned to the card used for purchase. Cash or debit payments will be refunded via cheques issued by the University and mailed. Due to the large volume, the April fee refund may take some time to process.

Please see the staff parking webpage and student parking webpage for full details and updates.

Because of the COVID-19 situation, Parking Services will be closed until further notice. Permit holders will be kept updated as the situation develops.

The University is now closed

The University is now closed and buildings are locked down. Our academic mission is now being upheld through online rather than in-person courses. All employees are to work from home with only limited access for designated employees deemed as essential to on-site work.

Should you require parking on campus, complimentary parking is available in U lot until April 30 and will be updated accordingly. If you are a current permit holder, you may park in any staff or student parking lot located closest to your building.

Parking Services thanks you for your consideration at this time.

To contact us, please send an email to parking [at] umanitoba [dot] ca. Emails are being checked on a regular basis, but due to high volume, please note that there is a wait time for responses.

Please continue to check back at the Parking Services website for updates. Stay informed about COVID-19 measures at the University of Manitoba.
