July 22, 2016 —

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced the formation this week of the Prime Minister’s Youth Council.

It is a group of 30 young Canadians, age 16 to 24, who will give non-partisan advice on national issues such as access to education, employment, building stronger communities, climate change and clean energy ideas, among other topics.

People can now apply online to join the council.

A first wave of council members will be selected by October 2016, with a second wave of council members selected by early 2017.
