Mental health first aid training sessions set for December
The Student Counselling Centre is inviting interested University of Manitoba staff to register and participate in the next Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training sessions.
The MHFA Canada program is geared towards improving mental health literacy, and providing the skills and knowledge to help people better manage potential or developing mental health problems in themselves, a friend, a family member or a colleague.
More details on Mental Health First Aid can be found here:
The next MHFA training offered will be on Dec. 16 and Dec. 19 and will run from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day.
To receive MHFA certification, participants must attend both sessions, held at the Student Counselling Centre (474 University Centre).
There is no cost to participate in this training.
Please email David_Ness@UManitoba.ca if you would like to participate.
Space for the Dec. 16 and Dec. 19 sessions is limited to 16 participants.
