Come have fun: Campus Beautification Day 2016 is May 27
Come for a free lunch if that's all you want to do
Campus Beautification Day 2016 will be held on Friday, May 27, on both campuses (rain date: Tuesday, June 7).
This year, the focus is on building up our community spirit, so even if you don’t plant flowers or rake, you’re still welcome to come out for a free barbecue lunch and a chance to win some great prizes. So on May 27, take some time to step outside with your colleagues and enjoy our campus community. Seriously, you should do this: building a community to create an outstanding work environment is part of the U of M’s strategic plan.
What: Campus Beautification Day
When: May 27, starting at 8:30 a.m. with a free barbecue lunch
Where: Both Bannatyne and Fort Garry campuses
More information will be posted on the Campus Beautification website, which is constantly being updated
UM Today will also post more on this event in the near future.
If you want to do some beautifying
Physical Plant strives to provide as many tools and as much equipment as possible, but if you wish to participate and can bring your own tools, please do so. Tools and gloves will be handed out at coordination stations throughout campuses. The volunteers at these stations will also be able to provide direction to those who need it. Locations of these stations, as well as for more information on Campus Beautification Day, will be posted soon on the Physical Plant website.
Campus Beautification Day has been a hugely popular and successful event each year, and we cannot do it without the hard work and contributions of the volunteers who care so much about our campus. Thank you as always, and we are looking forward to seeing you on the 27th.
