Undergrad Poster Competition Moves Online
Registration is now open
The annual Undergraduate Research Poster Competition is moving online for the 2020 edition. The competition showcases the breadth and expertise of undergrad research conducted by UM students over the past year.
Despite the challenges of working remotely and continuing to conduct research, students undertook their summer placements supported by the Undergraduate Research Awards and other national and faculty-based placements. For example, eight Faculty of Architecture students highlighted their unique experiences in this story.
This year’s competition will take place via the umantoba.ca/postercompetition webpage, with posters being posted in pdf format and a link to an oral video presentation. Viewing will take Oct. 27 thru Oct. 29, with prize winners posted on Oct. 29 at 1:30 pm.
$5,000 in cash prizes are available to the top three posters in the categories of:
- Applied sciences
- Creative works
- Health sciences
- Natural sciences
- Social sciences/humanities
Deadline to enter the competition is Oct. 7, 4 PM (CDT).
Research at the University of Manitoba is partially supported by funding from the Government of Canada Research Support Fund.
