26th annual Pow Wow honours large class of 2015

The 26th Annual Traditional Graduation Pow Wow for Indigenous students will be held on Saturday, May 2, and over 350 Indigenous students are expected to graduate in 2015. That is up from over 250 Indigenous graduands in previous years.

The Pow Wow honours and celebrates the academic achievement of Indigenous post-secondary students from the University of Manitoba.

The ceremony will take place in the Investors Group Athletic Centre on the Fort Garry Campus. The Grand Entry will start at 12 noon.

At about 2:00 pm. an Honour song will be shared, during which time all the graduands will enter the circle to be recognized and receive certificates. Then, the entire audience will be invited to greet and congratulate the honourees.

A Feast will be held in the Multi-purpose room of University Centre at 5:00 p.m.

When: Saturday, May 2, 2015; starts at 10:00 a.m. with a Sacred Pipe Ceremony, Grand Entry at 12 noon
Where: Investors Groups Athletic Centre, 75 Sidney Smith Street, Fort Garry Campus
