Join us Wednesday, October 26 for the 2022-2023 Graduate Student Research Panel Series.
Student, Faculty and staff are invited to attend the first research panel where the topic immigrant students’ experiences will be presented:
- Daniel Swaka (MEd) – They Survived War and Conflict; Can They Now Survive School? A Study of Newcomer and Refugee Youth Participants in an After-School Program
- Hafizat Sanni-Anibire (MEd) – “Why are we so Black?”: Nigerian Families’ Integration into Schools in Canada
- Ayodeji Osiname (PhD) – A Case Study of Nigerian Migrant Families and their School-Aged Children
For the Education Graduate Student Association, “the series will be an opportunity to share deep insights into the experiences of international students, as well as share views on the topics of discussion.” This will be a great opportunity to learn about important recent research findings and different approaches to research.
