U of M group part of team that captured innovation award in worldwide competition

A western Manitoba team has won a JEC Innovation Award for its work on how the science of genomics can revolutionize the automotive sector.
The team is a partnership between the University of Manitoba, University of British Columbia, The Composites Innovation Centre and Westward Industries Ltd., with project work that that will soon deliver renewable biocomposite materials to the Canadian automotive sector.
Professor David Levin from biosystems engineering is the lead for the U of M team working with the partnership.
The JEC Innovation Program is a worldwide competition.
