New room booking website launched
The Registrar’s Office has announced a new room booking website and online request form.
This new website will facilitate the process for finding, requesting and booking rooms for events and activities. Academic classes will continue to be scheduled through Aurora.
Developed in consultation with a team of building schedulers, this website is now fully operational and being used by all buildings that use Astra Schedule for their room bookings.
The website and form can be used by anyone wishing to request a room – it provides access to the room booking form, room booking policies and instructions, and allows anyone to use Astra Schedule to view up-to-the-minute space availability and to submit their room booking request online.
Requests for space will be automatically directed to the appropriate building scheduler; requesters will no longer require knowledge of “who to talk to” when requesting a room.
The online request form will ensure that all of the information required to make the booking is submitted to the scheduler, reducing the need for follow-up.
Spaces on campus that are not booked using Astra Schedule include: meeting rooms, banquet rooms and exhibit/trade show spaces in University Centre; the Pembina Hall banquet room; and recreational facility spaces in Frank Kennedy Centre (FKC), Investors Group Athletic Centre (IGAC) and Max Bell Centre (MBC).
