Wpg Free Press: U of M announces recipients of honorary degrees

As the Winnipeg Free Press reports:

Robert Silver, president and co-owner of Western Glove Works Ltd and co-owner of the Winnipeg Free Press, will be granted an honorary degree from the University of Manitoba this spring.

Silver, who will be obtaining a Doctor of Laws degree, is one of eight individuals set to receive honorary degrees during the U of M’s 140th spring convocation.

“Each year, the University of Manitoba bestows honorary degrees upon individuals who have achieved acclaim for their advancement of culture, communications, education, administration, scholarship, leadership philanthropy, mentorship, or business,” reads a U of M press release.
