Alum Kelly Hiebert has been selected by the Manitoba government to develop a new Holocaust curriculum for high school students.

Dr. Harvey Max Chochinov [MD/83, PhD/98] is the recipient of the 2024 Distinguished Alumni Award for Academic Innovation.

I am truly honoured to stand before you tonight representing the Robson Hall Class of 2024. When I was chosen as Valedictorian, I could not have been more thrilled – then I realized I actually had to write a speech. The daunting task of capturing three tumultuous, yet rewarding, years of law school in just a few minutes seemed impossible.

The UM and SJC alum studied Environmental Design during his undergraduate degree, spending countless hours at St John's studying for exams and eating food with friends in the Daily Bread Cafe. He also received several SJC scholarships and bursaries to support his education.

In a hotel room in Rotterdam, Tyler Roslinsky submits his final assignment of his capstone finance course. He closes his laptop to realize that he is done; he has finished his Asper Bachelor of Commerce degree, from about seven time zones away.

May 14, 2024 — 
The civil engineer worked as part of a diverse workforce at Manitoba Hydro, which took him to different locations all over Manitoba throughout his career. Prior to working at Hydro, Kevin moved to Canada from Hong Kong, where he stayed at St John’s Residence on campus, or as he refers to it, one big family.
