Rady students showcase health careers to youth through CanU

A team of volunteer students from the Rady Faculty of Health Sciences recently completed a program welcoming over 80 youth from across Winnipeg to explore health-care careers as part of an initiative through CanU, a Winnipeg-based charitable organization.

Dedicated new nurses welcomed at pinning ceremony

The College of Nursing welcomed 82 new nurses to the profession at a pinning ceremony at the Pinnacle Club on Feb. 9. The graduands were part of a voluntary accelerated program, continuing their studies through Summer 2023, to complete their degrees and enter the profession earlier than originally anticipated.

On March 11, the change-maker and Vice-Dean of Indigenous health, social justice and anti-racism in the Rady Faculty of Health Sciences will present the Marjorie Ward lecture.

Showcase highlights opportunities for senior nursing students

The College of Nursing held a showcase with Manitoba health-care employers for fourth-year students entering their senior practicum on Jan. 26 at the Pinnacle Club at Princess Auto Stadium.
Five UM researchers receive funding from Research Manitoba IPoC Program

A total of five University of Manitoba research projects will receive a total investment of nearly $550,000 over two years through Research Manitoba’s Innovation Proof-of-Concept (IPoC) Grant Program. The grants have been awarded to successful candidates in three areas: bioscience; infrastructure, transportation, and technologies; and advanced manufacturing.
