Transform Faculty of Science furniture into new opportunities

June 18, 2024 — 
As you might already know, Machray Hall is undergoing a huge redevelopment. This has recently resulted in surplus furniture at the Faculty of Science which is now available to all other UM faculties and units. Let's help to avoid them ending up in the landfill.

STRR holds a special meaning since the nomination is made by an outstanding graduate student. They chose two educators who have significantly influenced their learning journey—one from Kindergarten to Grade 12 years and another from their time at the University of Manitoba.

The Asian communities at the Faculty of Science include brilliant people from students in labs to instructors passionately teaching in classes, professors conducting ground-breaking research, and support staff who make our departments and the Faculty an extraordinary environment. With May being the Asian Heritage Month, we decided to shine the light on the contributions of the Asian communities at the Faculty and celebrate their presence.

Witness the spark in science when students compete for $3,000 cash prize!

March 25, 2024 — 
Science Spark 3K Pitch Competition 2024 presented by the Bioscience Association Manitoba (BAM) is happening on April 8th, 1:00 p.m. at Marshall McLuhan Hall as 9 teams of science students pitch their innovative ideas and compete for a chance to win a $3,000 cash prize! The event is free but registration is required.
