Beginning September 7, three libraries will be open for individual student study.
We are excited to see new faces in UM Libraries this Fall and look forward to seeing familiar faces, too, as we bring our long-lost UM family together again.
Beginning Fall term, three libraries will be open for individual student study, with plans to open additional library locations over the coming months.
Open libraries and archives
Elizabeth Dafoe Library, Fort Garry Campus
8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday to Friday
10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday and Sunday
Sciences & Technology Library, Machray Hall, Fort Garry Campus
8:00 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday to Friday only
Neil John Maclean Health Sciences Library, Bannatyne Campus
8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday to Friday
10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday and Sunday
Note: Access to Bannatyne campus is limited to those with swipe card access only.

Access materials
Though access to physical collections remains closed for browsing, our digital collections are still available 24×7. Start your search on the Libraries home page. Watch for items that indicate “Full text available” or “Available online.”
Pickup lockers provide an easy, contactless way to have physical material delivered to you. Just Request it from your library search results for delivery at the Elizabeth Dafoe Library pickup locker or the Neil John Maclean Health Sciences Library pickup locker. Note: the Health Sciences pickup locker is limited to only students, staff, and faculty with Bannatyne Campus swipe card access.
Get help
Ask Us, the Libraries online chat, is available to answer your questions. Just click the blue chat button on the Libraries home page. You can also book an appointment with a subject librarian who can help with research in your subject area. Here are some other helpful library resources:
