Star Blanket Ceremony to Honour Acting Dean

A Star Blanket ceremony was held to honour former acting dean, Diane Hiebert-Murphy, for her dedication to nurturing positive relationships and for her extraordinary leadership over the past year. Eveline Milliken, associate professor, and Yvonne Pompana, director, Inner City Social Work Program,  presented Hiebert-Murphy with a Star Blanket.

A Star Blanket ceremony honours a person who humbly dedicates herself to the service of others and works hard to care for the best interests of the whole community. The blanket is wrapped around the person to show that care and protection are bestowed back upon them.

The Faculty of Social Work would like to thank Hiebert-Murphy for her ongoing support and guidance and her dedication to students, faculty and the social work community.
