Road Closures: 2021 Manitoba Marathon

The annual Manitoba Marathon returns to Fort Garry campus on Sunday, September 5.

Extra road closures will be in effect throughout the weekend to accommodate the event.

Access to campus will remain open on September 4 however, Chancellor Matheson will be closed to vehicle traffic from Research Road to University Crescent from approximately 5:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. to accommodate set-up for race day. There’s no closure on University Crescent and unrestricted access to campus will be available throughout via Research Road and Innovation Drive.

Access to campus will remain open on September 5 however, Chancellor Matheson will be closed to vehicle traffic from Research Road to University Crescent starting at approximately 5:30 a.m. Chancellor Matheson South lanes will reopen at approximately 12:30 p.m. and Chancellor Matheson North lanes will open at approximately 3:30 p.m. University Crescent at Pembina Hwy to Chancellor Matheson will be closed starting at approximately 5:30 a.m. and will reopen at approximately 4 p.m. Unrestricted access to campus will be available throughout the event via Research Road and Innovation Drive.
