Dr. Klaus Hochheim Photography Exhibit open

An exhibit of photographs from former UM researcher Dr. Klaus Hochheim is open at Canadian Mennonite University until the end of August. Dr. Hochheim was a climatologist and ice scientist in the Centre for Earth Observation Science for 12 years until his tragic death in a helicopter crash in the Arctic in September 2013.

UM Researcher Wins Frontiers of Knowledge Award

Dr. Dorthe Dorthe Dahl-Jensen, along with four colleagues, won the prestigious BBVA Foundation Frontiers of Knowledge Award in the Climate Change category. Dr. Dahl-Jensen and her team were lauded for their work on using ice cores in Greenland to track the relationship of greenhouse gas concentrations to changes in climate over the past 800,000 years.
