Manjit Minhas of Dragon’s Den will share her insights with students

Manjit Minhas, of CBC’s Dragon’s Den and Co-Founder and CEO of Minhas Breweries and Distillery, will speak with students of the I. H. Asper School of Business on Thursday, November 12.

All members of the University of Manitoba community are invited to attend and ask Minhas questions about her experiences in the industry, and her experience as a Dragon on Dragon’s Den.

Minhas caused a stir in the Manitoba and Saskatchewan beer industry by gaining huge market share in a short amount of time with her aggressive marketing and advertising techniques, and her pricing strategies.Minhas and her brother purchased the second oldest brewery in the United States in 2006 and renamed it The Minhas Craft Brewery, making them the youngest brewery owners in the world.

Later that evening, Minhas will deliver the keynote address at the 49th Annual Commerce Business Banquet, a prestigious tradition of the Asper School. The event hosts more than 500 guests, and features a four course meal as well as welcome addresses from Winnipeg dignitaries.
