August 18, 2020 —

The University of Manitoba congratulates Lynn Zapshala-Kelln on being named Red River College’s new Vice-President, Finance and Administration.

In her more than three years as UM’s Vice-President (Administration), Ms Zapshala-Kelln has guided a complex portfolio responsible for administrative areas including finance, ancillary services, security, fair practices and legal affairs, physical plant, risk management, human resources and information systems.

Among her many accomplishments were chairing the implementation committee that followed the report on sexual violence, A Path Forward; chairing the central unit allocation committee in support of the new budget model; and championing innovations in data governance and improvements to the capital requests review system.

“On behalf of the University of Manitoba community, I wish Lynn well in her new role and thank her for her significant contributions to the University of Manitoba,” said President and Vice-Chancellor Michael Benarroch.

Information about interim measures will be shared in a future communication.
