Dr. Marion Alexander Centre Opening

On Saturday, Sept. 21, we’re delighted to honour one of FKRM’s most familiar faces. Please join us for the official unveiling ceremony and opening of the Dr. Marion Alexander Centre at 179 Extended Education.

Dr. Marion Alexander’s incredible career took off at the U of M in 1967 when she was hired as Lady Bisons basketball team coach and assistant coach for the women’s track team.

After a brief pause to pursue a PhD in sport biomechanics at the University Alberta, she returned to UM, becoming a pillar in the delivery of the FKRM’s undergraduate curriculum before retiring in 2015.

The unveiling event is open to all, and begins at 11:30 a.m. The ribbon cutting ceremony commences at noon with light refreshments to follow.

Please RSVP to Jennifer [dot] Palichuk [at] umanitoba [dot] ca by Friday, Sept. 13.
