Indigenous senior leadership report being reviewed
In February 2019, Provost and Vice-President (Academic) Janice Ristock established a committee, chaired by Dr. Catherine Cook, Vice-Dean Indigenous, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences, to provide recommendations on the ideal role and mandate of Indigenous senior leadership, their required supports and the associated reporting structures.
The committee, which also included an Elder, Indigenous faculty, staff, students, and senior academic leadership, has concluded its work and presented its report, now being reviewed by President David Barnard and other members of the senior leadership team.
The interim report (“What We Heard”) is available online.
The final report will be shared online in its entirety later this month.
The entire University of Manitoba senior leadership team wish to thank the review committee and all those who participated in the consultations that contributed to the development of the report.
