Help shape UM’s next Strategic Plan

Learn more about Community Consultation Phase 2: Surveys

March 14, 2023 —

Dear community,

Thank you to all who have participated in the consultation process for the University of Manitoba’s strategic plan through the town hall and community consultation sessions.

We are now entering the second stage of the consultation process, and we want to engage with you further through an online survey informed by the discussions in the first phase. The surveys provide an opportunity to dive deeper into the UM community’s thoughts and goals about the university’s future.

Faculty, staff, and students will be contacted by email on March 16 with a link to the survey. The survey contains a series of open-ended questions—you may answer as many or as few questions as you wish. There is also the opportunity to answer a series of optional demographic questions to help us understand the community voices heard in the process. The anticipated time to complete the survey is 10 to 20 minutes.

Participation in the survey is completely voluntary and is intended to be anonymous; should any identifying data be collected in participant responses to the open-ended questions, it will be held in strict confidence.

Thank you for taking the time to complete this survey. We need to hear all your voices to enhance our scholarship, grow our research enterprise, elevate the student experience, advance Reconciliation and deepen our community engagement.

The survey will be open from March 16 to March 31. Please watch your inbox for more information on how to participate.

Sincerely,

Michael Benarroch,

President and Vice-Chancellor
