Global: New study in Winnipeg takes a look at how well your health care services work

A new study on your first contact in Winnipeg’s health care system has taken a look at your quality of care when you need it. The report is titled “A Comparison of Models of Primary Care Delivery in Winnipeg.” It was put together by the Manitoba Centre for Health Policy at the University of Manitoba.
The study takes a look at the five different models of primary care that were operating in Winnipeg between 2010 and 2013 to measure the quality of primary care provided….
“In general, the way we organize primary care in Winnipeg seems to be working well and patients with complex needs are receiving care in models that are designed to support them,” said the lead author of the study, Dr. Alan Katz.
