Flu clinic wraps up Nov. 4

November 2, 2016 —

Trained fourth-year College of Nursing students will be providing flu vaccines until Nov. 4, and they have a goal of inoculating 3,000 people. Help them reach it and get vaccinated.

For the past 2 years the College of Nursing has held an immunization clinic in Helen Glass building and last year they immunized about 800 students from all over campus. They want to beat that, by a lot.

They are opening their clinic to all students, faculty and staff, and members of the general public.

The clinic is run by roughly 120 fourth year students, supervised by their respective clinical instructors. The students are responsible for public outreach, running the registration/intake tables, managing consent forms, and the injections of the vaccine.
