Eight fun things to do this summer
The Bruce D. Campbell Farm and Food Discovery Centre invites you to join us at our fun summer events aimed at kids and families.
Saturday, July 16 – Insect Investigation – Learn about the bugs that are all around us and then wander outside to catch insects buzzing around the centre.
Saturday, July 23 – Bannock Day – Learn about bannock and its history in Manitoba; then make your own in our wood-fired oven.
Wednesday, July 27 – Dairy Day – Explore the dairy barn, and learn about how we get milk to make cheese and yogurt. Finish by helping to make some fresh ice cream!
Saturday, August 13 – Canola Crush – Tour the centre and learn how to crush canola seeds to make canola oil.
Saturday, August 20 – Ice Cream Party – Come join us at the Farm and Food Discovery Centre and make some homemade ice cream A cold treat to enjoy on a hot summer’s day!
Wednesday, August 24 – Pizza Party – Make your own dough and pizza in a wood-fired oven.
Saturday, August 27 – Bacon Makes It Better! – Join us, along with Manitoba Pork, as we learn about pork and bacon.
General admission rates apply. The Centre is open 10 am to 4 pm and all the activities listed here run 10 am to 2 pm.
The Farm and Food Discovery Centre is located 15 minutes south of Winnipeg on Highway 75 (Pembina Highway).
