March 24th is World Tuberculosis Day.
The date marks the day in 1882 when Dr. Robert Koch announced he had discovered the bacterium that causes TB and opened the way towards diagnosing and curing the disease.
Dr. Rachel Dwilow, Pediatric Infectious Diseases physician from the University of Manitoba joined CTV Morning Live to discuss the rates of tuberculosis in Manitoba.
