Creating space for success

29 buildings upgraded and improved

September 23, 2016 —

For professor Michelle Faubert, it’s really about giving her students the best learning experience possible. “And, hopefully, by doing so, I can inspire the students of today and tomorrow to be engaged, passionate contributors to the workforce themselves.”

The antiquated audio-visual cart – she knows it well. Before this award-winning lecturer could engage students in class, she first had to ask them to move their feet as she wheeled in the outdated projection cart. And then she needed them to be patient while she fumbled with switches and tangled cords.

But thanks to a gift from the Richardson Foundation, buildings across campus have been radically upgraded with modern tools and technologies. Faubert now brings poetry and prose to life using the latest in multi-media.

Fueled by the support of 25,895 donors from 40 countries the we are well on our way to reaching the $500 million goal of the Front and Centre campaign. Keep the momentum going and take your place. Support the campaign for the University of Manitoba and together we will make a truly transformative impact, building a better future for students, our community, and our province.
