Congratulations! UM’s Deputy Provost named University of Winnipeg’s next President and Vice-Chancellor

November 23, 2021 —

Dr. Todd Mondor has been appointed the University of Winnipeg’s tenth President and Vice-Chancellor.

Dr. Mondor joined the University of Manitoba in 1999 as a faculty member in the department of psychology.  He has been appointed to several administrative positions with increasing complexity and responsibility including Graduate Chair, and Department Head in psychology; Vice-Provost (Graduate Education) and Dean of Graduate Studies, and his current position as Deputy Provost. In all of these roles, he has demonstrated a commitment to collaborative leadership, student success, quality education, and an inclusive work and learning environment. In addition to his academic planning and program responsibilities, Dr. Mondor’s steady and innovative leadership has led the University’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic planning efforts.

“I know that I will greatly miss Todd’s strategic guidance, action-oriented mindset, and his terrific sense of humour,” says Diane Hiebert-Murphy, Provost and Vice-President (Academic).

The University of Manitoba looks forward to working with Dr. Mondor in his new role and continuing to support opportunities for collaborations between our institutions.

“While it is sad to lose a colleague as capable as Dr. Mondor, I look forward to working with him in a new capacity. I see this as an opportunity to continue our work with the University of Winnipeg in even bigger, better and more collaborative ways,” says Michael Benarroch, President and Vice-Chancellor.

Congratulations to Dr. Todd Mondor, President and Vice-Chancellor-elect, University of Winnipeg.
