CBC’s The Current: Surviving domestic violence

March 10, 2014 —

CBC’s The Current spoke with Sociology Professor Jane Ursel, who is also the Director of RESOLVE, a family violence research network.  Ursel was part of a project that talked to more than 650 women in the prairie provinces who were victims of domestic violence tracking their experiences for almost five years.

Research at the University of Manitoba is partially supported by funding from the Government of Canada Research Support Fund.

This was a powerful program. Such courage from the abused woman interviewed. It was inspiring to hear U of M researcher respond and play a leadership role in protecting those abused #resolve
