CBC Manitoba: Walt Disney-owned ABC has indefinitely stopped airing Jimmy Kimmel Live

Disney-owned ABC announced Wednesday Kimmel’s show would be pre-empted indefinitely, after a monologue in which the comedian accused politicians of using the killing of the conservative activist for political gain. Kimmel also made fun of comments made by U.S. President Donald Trump after the assassination. Dr. Brenda Austin-Smith, Professor, Faculty of Arts at the University of Manitoba, discussed the indefinite suspension, noting it was possibly predicted after criticism from Donald Trump and the FCC.
