Experts say this productivity decline is a factor in Canada's affordability struggles, echoed by Sean MacDonald, Sessional Instructor at the Asper school of Business at the University of Manitoba.

CNN: Canadian man loses legal battle to keep his secret million-dollar stash

A Canadian man has lost his 16-year legal battle to get back more than 1.2 million Canadian dollars he had stored in bizarre locations around his home. Dr. Michelle Gallant, Professor of Law at the University of Manitoba, said in this case, the onus is on Breton to prove the money was obtained legally, noting “cash is the currency of illegal drugs.”

CJOB: From Manitoba to the Moon: UM’s Tiny Satellite Heads for Orbit

The University of Manitoba's Star Lab is designing a satellite, roughly the size of a milk carton, to orbit the moon as part of NASA's Commercial Lunar Payload Services (CLPS) program. This satellite will carry a multispectral camera developed with the University of Winnipeg and a tool to measure lunar soil composition, aiding future lunar exploration and potential fuel production. Dr. Phil Ferguson, Associate Professor at the University of Manitoba, is the director of Star Lab.

On top of being a physician, Dr. Jayson Stoffman (director, PGME academic curriculum; chair, PGME academic curriculum committee) is the program director for the pediatric residency program at the University of Manitoba.
