Canadian Business: Canada’s Best MBA Programs

Canadian Business has released its complete guide to Canada’s best MBA schools and the Asper School of Business at the University of Manitoba is among the top 10 in the nation.

This year, the Asper School of Business enhanced its MBA program. The school now offers functional concentrations in finance, leadership and organizations, marketing, and supply-chain management, as well as courses relating to three market-driven business themes: sustainability, entrepreneurship and innovation, and international and emerging markets.

Associates Fellow in finance explores race, gender and neurodivergence and financial outcomes

Asper associate professor and The Associates Fellow in Finance, Chi Liao is an expert in behavioural finance, engaging with datasets and psychology, sociology and other social sciences to tackle these questions. She seeks to understand how broader social phenomena affect individual behaviours in financial decision-making and ultimately financial outcomes.

On May 30, 2024, Gerry Price [BSc/70, MSc/72, LLD/17], the 2024 International Distinguished Entrepreneur Award (IDEA) recipient, will share his impressive career journey, followed by a Q&A facilitated by the Asper School of Business Commerce Student’s Association President, Melani Fernando.

Asper BComm student Gilbert Eretchabor is currently working hard to revitalize the University of Manitoba Supply Chain Organization (UMSCO) as president and is a passionate advocate for the field. Supply chain isn’t something that Eretchabor pursued from the start of his degree, but some cogent advice from the Dean helped him see his future (and his past) in supply chain.
