Are you ready for an exciting outdoor challenge?

February 1, 2022 —

The Jack Frost Challenge is an annual week-long winter event coordinated by the Green Action Centre to celebrate and encourage winter activities across Manitoba. The challenge calls for 1-5 family members, friends or co-workers to complete 130 collective kilometres of outdoor activities between Feb. 13 and 19.

Register yourself or your team today with the Green Action Centre then complete winter activities such as walking, running, biking, skating, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and tobogganing for a chance to win a grand prize of exciting experiences and gift card packages.

University of Manitoba participants are encouraged to pre-fix team names with UM (for example, “UM-team name”) for a chance to be entered to win UM-specific prizes! Additionally, the Green Action Centre is offering a special prize to a team with the best name, so have fun and be creative with it!

UM prizes will include:

  • Passes to the Active Living Centre and/or Joe Doupe Recreation Centre
  • UM BookStore gift certificates
  • Bike locks from the UM BookStore
