August 8, 2025 — Today, the Winnipeg Police Service issued a public statement announcing that a faculty member has been charged with sexual assault and exploitation in connection with events reported to have taken place approximately 15 years ago. The university takes these charges very seriously and is, of course, cooperating with the WPS.

Some of Canada’s most illustrious legal professionals count among our alumni. Wura Dasylva is a partner at Miller Thomson LLP in Regina, Saskatchewan, who completed her LLM at Robson Hall in 2017. When last we chatted in 2018, we were delighted to learn that she was busy skydiving and working hard as an articling student at Miller Thomson.
