ARCHFOLIO 2018
The Department of Architecture has published its latest issue of Archfolio, now in its third year. This 164-page (print and digital) booklet gathers an inspiring array of student work and pedagogical approaches from the 2017-18 academic year. Archfolio2018 features eleven design studios, a selection of graduate courses in technology and history/theory, highlights from the C.A.S.T. Visiting Researchers, and brief faculty bios. In aggregate, the collection attests to the Department’s strong tradition of learning through making, and to its adventurous embrace of diverse architectural and learning strategies.
The tradition of an annual Departmental publication was initiated in 2007 by alumni Evan Marnoch and Zach Pauls. It was relaunched in 2016. The 2018 edition of Archfolio was produced by incoming Architecture Master’s student and Environmental Design graduate Jessica Piper, with support from Prof. Lisa Landrum and all contributing Department of Architecture instructors.
