Robson Hall Alum Oversees City Council Integrity
City of Winnipeg Integrity Commissioner, Sherri Walsh, poised to table new Code of Conduct for City Council members
Sherri Walsh [LL.B./1985], who was appointed as the City of Winnipeg’s first Integrity Commissioner last year in February, is about to table a report to City Council containing a newly revised Code of Conduct for Members of Council including a protocol for accepting, investigating and reporting on complaints about members’ conduct. Walsh advised the public of this news by posting a notice on the City Clerk’s page in December, 2017.
Since sharing notice of her intention, Walsh was interviewed by Winnipeg Free Press columnist, Gordon Sinclair Jr. about what she has been doing in the past year since her appointment. Please read more in the article, “Integrity boss rolls up sleeves at city hall,” published in the January 6th, 2018 edition of the Winnipeg Free Press.
