Welcome to ‘Trending’, where each week we share a few things to watch for on social media.
Here’s what we’re talking about this week:
- This week we’re celebrating! Tomorrow (Tuesday, February 28th) is our UofM 140 community celebration. It will be an incredible day of fun, food, music, games and a look back (and forward). Visit the photobooth at UC, share your photos from the big day and tag them #UM140.
- What a week for students! While many of you took a break with Reading Week, our Instagram feed was filled with your #altreadingweek adventures, like this shot of Mika, Joel and Ana lending a hand at the local NEEDS Centre.
- Finalists have been selected and the 3MT final event is slated for Wednesday, March 8th. Watch our Instagram feed later this week as we’ll be introducing you to all 12 finalists.
- We’ve set a date for our University of Manitoba Distinguished Alumni Awards (May 2nd!) and the recipients will be announced next week. Watch for more details to come at #UMDAA2017.
- Our next Visionary Conversations event is set for Thursday, March 9th. Join the conversation with #umvisionary.
