With highs above 30 C and humidex values in the 40s, just walking from your home to your car can feel like a sweaty sluggish chore. Add the rest of your daily routine to the mix, and the sweltering heat begins to pose a safety risk.
So who better to turn to for tips but a guy named Professor Popsicle?
While he’s typically known for his expert knowledge in what below-freezing conditions can do to the human body, Gordon Giesbrecht from the University of Manitoba’s Faculty of Kinesiology and Recreation Management also has a thing or two to say about extreme heat.
