Free Press, ChrisD: U of M gives Barnard two more years as president

As the Winnipeg Free Press reports:
The University of Manitoba has extended the contract of president David Barnard by two additional years.
Barnard will now serve until June 30, 2020, giving him 12 years as president of Manitoba’s largest university.
The board of governors made the decision this week to extend Barnard’s term, which had been scheduled to end June 30, 2018.
The term of University of Manitoba president and vice-chancellor David Barnard has been extended by another two years.
Barnard will serve in his current role through June 30, 2020.
The U of M’s Board of Governors approved the extension during a meeting on Wednesday.
