Saxophonist Jimmy Greene, who turned a family tragedy into a celebration of a young girl’s life, earned two Grammy Award nominations Monday for his album, Beautiful Life. The former jazz professor at the University of Manitoba recorded the album as a tribute to his daughter, Ana Grace Marquez-Greene, 6, killed during a mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn., in December 2012.
