CBC Manitoba: Spying on Arctic foxes from space reveals the species have a green thumb effect on tundra

Sean Johnson-Bice, a PhD candidate and their PhD supervisor Jim Roth (a professor in the Biology department) at the University of Manitoba spoke with CBC Manitoba about their research looking at the effects of climate change and how it is driving Arctic fox numbers down in northern Manitoba. It is also threatening their role as “ecosystem engineers” that have a green thumb effect on relatively barren swaths of tundra.
